Pence’s schedule also includes a discussion about the vice presidency at the George H.W. Bush Presidential Library in College Station.

Vice President Mike Pence is visiting Texas on Friday. One of his stops is at Rice University’s Baker Institute where he is scheduled to deliver remarks about the political turmoil and economic crisis in Venezuela at 12:45 p.m.

Pence has also met with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents in Houston.

Houston is home to a large Venezuelan immigrant community, as well as the corporate headquarters of CITGO, a U.S. subsidiary of Venezuela’s state-owned oil company. Pence has called for the release of six of the company’s executives who are jailed in Venezuela.

Pence’s schedule also includes a discussion about the vice presidency at the George H.W. Bush Presidential Library in College Station. He’ll be joined by former vice presidents Dick Cheney and Dan Quayle.
