WATCH: Houston Kids Celebrate Hanukkah In The Classroom

Hands-on activities are becoming learning tools for language fundamentals and religious traditions.

Hanukkah is here. 

A group of second and third graders in Meyerland have been preparing for this day. 

These kids go to school in a central hub for Houston’s Jewish community, and they are taught both English and Hebrew as part of their regular curriculum. In the days leading up to the holiday, Hebrew class transforms into lessons about Hanukkah.
