UPDATE: TSU Police Issues “All Clear” Status After Bomb Threat

The university’s Police department conducted a campus wide search and TSU will resume classes on Thursday.

Texas Southern University’s Police Department issued an “all clear” status for the university’s campus after it was evacuated due to a bomb threat received Wednesday by the Houston Police Department.

A spokesperson for the university had said around 4:05 p.m. the TSU Police Department was coordinating a thorough sweep of the campus.

All evening classes remain cancelled, but TSU said on Twitter that the game scheduled against the University of Houston’s basketball team would be played.

HPD said it received the threat through a phone call around 1:40 p.m.

Students were urged to leave campus, including the dorms.
