Substitute Teacher Charged with Indecency with A Child

Prosecutors said 10 additional students have come forward alleging Lewis also touched them in ways that made them feel uncomfortable.

A former Pasadena ISD substitute teacher has been charged with three felonies for indecency with a child and an improper relationship with a student. 

Joshua Lewis, 24, appeared in court Wednesday morning. He was arrested Tuesday after two elementary-school-aged girls reported he touched them inappropriately.

Prosecutors on Wednesday morning said 10 additional students have come forward alleging Lewis also touched them in ways that made them feel uncomfortable, but did not rise to the level of a criminal offense, according to court documents. 

In a motion based on the new allegations, prosecutors asked for Lewis’s bond not to be set below $100,000. 

Lewis told investigators he comes from “a touchy-feely family” and that his dad had warned him not to touch students, prosecutors said in charging documents. 

Lewis’s bond was set at $100,000 for each charge.
