HFD is receiving multiple calls about a gas odor across the NE side of the city. We are working with Centerpoint to locate the source. There is no shelter in place, but if you don't have to go out, stay indoors.

HFD said on Twitter the calls about the odor came from northeast Houston, but there were also reports about the odor originating downtown, or north of downtown, and moving to the south and the southwest.
An HFD spokesperson told News 88.7 around 3:20 p.m. that the source of the odor hadn't been detected at that point.
A spokesperson with CenterPoint Energy said around 4:20 p.m. the company was investigating but had concluded there wasn't a natural gas leak, although crews were responding to calls received about the incident.
