Former Harris County Deputy Sentenced to 8 Years for Sexual Assault

The deputy worked for Precinct 6 for less than a year before the accusations led to his firing.

A former Harris County deputy constable accused of sexual assault has been sentenced to eight years in prison.

Brandin M. Glispy, 31, was accused of sexually assaulting two women while on duty. Glispy worked for Harris County Constable Precinct 6 for less than a year before the accusations led to his firing, according to the Harris County District Attorney.

“Rapists posing as law-enforcement officers are still rapists,” Harris County District Attorney Kim Ogg said in a press release.

Glispy is said to have assaulted one woman after pulling her over for a traffic stop. He is also accused of assaulting a woman in the restroom of a Popeyes restaurant.

Assistant District Attorney Lauren Reeder called the assaults “an utterly grotesque abuse of power.”
