Galveston Police Finds Body of Boy Who Went Missing over Weekend in Drowning Incident

The search for another boy who is believed to be 16 years-old continues

The drowning incident occurred at 17th Street and Seawall Boulevard.

The Galveston Police Department Marine Division has found the body of an 11 year-old boy who had been missing since Sunday after being involved in a drowning incident.

Captain Joshua Schirard said the body was found Tuesday afternoon about 2 miles offshore from 9 Mile Road and Farm-to-Market 3005.

Schirard said the drowning incident occurred at 17th Street and Seawall Boulevard.

The search for another boy who is believed to be 16 years-old and was involved in the drowning incident continues.
