A year after Harvey, the Houston Association of Realtors (HAR) has reported home sales in the first three weeks of August were up more than 7 percent compared to the first three weeks of last August, just before the hurricane hit.

The storm essentially halted all real estate sales in Houston in the latter part of the month.

HAR also compared this August to August of 2016, showing a more modest 4.3 percent increase in home sales.

Median prices also rose 3 percent, at more than $236,000 for a single family home.
