WATCH: Artist Reconstructs Image Of An African American Woman

Martin’s piece “The Dinner Table” is her latest attempt to showcase a range of black identities to spark conversation.

Houston-based artist, Delita Martin, uses printmaking, sewing and other mixed media to create artworks. Her layered narratives often focus on women — depictions of African-American women in particular.
