Hundreds of thousands of pounds of sausage are being recalled across Texas.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture issued the recall Tuesday for ready-to-eat beef brisket smoked sausage sold as ‘H-E-B Texas Heritage Sausage, Smoked with Natural Hardwood, Beef Brisket.”

The products are produced by J Bar B Foods, and contain a pork casing, which is not declared on the product label. The casing may cause an allergic reaction in some individuals.

The sausage products were produced on various dates from June 21st 2016, to May 29th 2018.

The USDA says there have been no reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of the sausage. Consumers who may have purchased these products are asked to discard them or return them to the place of purchase.
