A judge has denied a motion presented by the Bombshells bar and restaurant located on I-45 souht asking that a temporary restraining order that bans the establishment from selling alcoholic beverages is lifted.

The Harris County District Attorney’s Office announced Monday that a judge denied a motion presented by the Bombshells restaurant and bar located on I-45 south, near the intersection of the freeway and Fuqua Street, asking that a temporary restraining order that bans the establishment from selling alcoholic beverages is lifted.

Harris County District Attorney Kim Ogg contends the establishment is a common nuisance and it can be linked to a multitude of violent incidents and crimes, including shootings, assaults and robberies.

According to a news release from Ogg’s office, the owners of the establishment have acknowledged in court they have chosen to temporarily close it, rather than just sell food.

An evidence hearing is scheduled for June 29.
