Cleveland ISD Police Department Donates Door Blocks To Hundreds Of Classrooms

1000 units of Bearacade door blocks have been delivered by the Cleveland ISD Police Department

Area schools continue to weigh security options following the shooting in Santa Fe.

The Cleveland ISD Police Department says 1000 donated door blocks will be distributed to hundreds of classrooms in Cleveland, Tarkington, and Splendora ISDs.

The blocks slip under a door and use a steel pin to keep it from opening.

Cleveland ISD says it's also received 100 gun locks through a donation. It plans to distribute the locks to families in the district who ask for them.
