Houston Astros Honor Santa Fe Shooting Victims During Batting Practice

The Houston Dynamo also debuted T-shirts that honor the lives lost at Santa Fe High School

Houston Astros wore T-shirts that read “We Play For Santa Fe” during batting practice on Tuesday, May 22, in honor of the victims of Santa Fe High School shooting.

The Astros announced that for the two-game home series against the San Francisco Giants, all proceeds from the nightly 50/50 raffle will benefit the Santa Fe Strong Memorial Fund.

The Houston Dynamo showed their support on Sunday, May 20, when they got to Chicago, Illinois, for their game with the Chicago Fire. The Dynamo exited the team bus wearing T-shirts that read “Santa Fe We Won’t Forget.”

The Dynamo and the Houston Dash have set up a special auction to benefit the Santa Fe Strong Memorial Fund.

The Houston Rockets are currently playing in the Western Conference finals, have plans to honor Santa Fe’s victims when they host Game 5 on Thursday, May 24, against the Golden State Warriors.
