Houston Among Eight Cities Contending For 2020 Democratic National Convention

The 2016 Democratic convention was held in Philadelphia

Houston is among eight cities in the running to host the 2020 Democratic National Convention, NBC News reported on Wednesday.

The Democratic National Committee sent requests for proposals to the cities last month.

The other cities are Atlanta, Denver, New York, San Francisco, Milwaukee, Miami Beach, and Birmingham.

The 2016 Democratic convention was held in Philadelphia.
