Here’s Where To Vote In The May 5th Special Election

Nine candidates are in the running to fill the seat of late District K Houston City Councilman Larry Green

More than 3,400 people in Harris County voted early in the special election to fill the seat of late District K Houston City Councilman Larry Green, according to records released by the Harris County Clerk’s office late Tuesday.

In March, officials announced Green died from an accidental drug overdose; a combination of chloroethane, a recreational inhalant, and methamphetamine.

Nine candidates are in the running to serve the remainder of Green’s term. Candidates include: Larry Blackmon, Martha Castex-Tatum, Carl David Evans, Patricia “Pat” Frazier, Anthony Freddie, Elisabeth E. Johnson, Lawrence McGaffie, Aisha Savoy, and Gerry Vander-Lyn.
