Seven Injured In School Bus Accident In Southwest Houston

The accident happened at the intersection of Blueridge Road and Briargate Drive

The Houston Fire Department (HFD) reported Thursday afternoon seven people were injured after a school bus had a traffic accident that involved another vehicle in the southwest section of the Houston area.

The bus was transporting students from Willow Ridge High School, which is part of the Fort Bend Independent School District, according to the district’s spokeswoman Amanda Bubela. 

Bubela said the accident happened at the intersection of Blueridge Road and Briargate Drive around 2:45 p.m.

HFD detailed the department transported five students who were traveling on the bus to a hospital and two other people who were riding in the other vehicle were also transported from the scene of the accident.

Overall, there were eight students riding on the bus, according to Bubela, who added the remaining three students were returned to the school.
