On Wednesday, April 4, police released a sketch of Elie Ngouelet.

A teen has been charged with capital murder in the death of Ramone Alviso Esquivel, 56, during the robbery on April 3.

Elie Ngouelet, 18, is in custody at this time.

Ngouelet is accused of shooting and killing Esquivel last week at the Bristol Court Apartments on 8404 South Course in southwest Houston.

Esquivel was shot at least once and his son was right behind him, but he was not injured.

According to abc13, investigators said the teen showed up with the intention of robbing someone, but didn’t have a target picked out.

“It appears from looking at the footage that he was waiting here at the edge of the parking lot, waiting for someone to exit the apartment complex,” said Brian Evans with Houston Police Department.

"The suspect confronted the complainant as he was exiting the apartment complex," Evans said. "A verbal demand was made, and there was a physical — a brief physical altercation, and then the complainant was shot."

Police said Tuesday Ngouelet confessed to the shooting of Esquivel.

According to the Houston Chronicle, Ngouelet was charged Monday and is being held in lieu of $999,999 bond.
