Today, the National Rifle Association has around 5 million members; It lobbies, it raises money and it spends money on campaigns; And they have report cards on legislators and their positions on guns issues.

However, it wasn’t always like that. At one point, the NRA even worked with Congress to limit gun access.

A Texan lawyer changed that.
