That Lemonade Stand You Had As A Kid, It Might Have Prepared You For Your Career

Lemonade Day, a national organization based in Houston, is pitching youth entrepreneurship to leaders in business and academia

Steven Gordon is the national president of Lemonade Day, a nonprofit organization that started in Houston in 2007.

Houston-based non-profit Lemonade Day and Gallup are hosting a meeting in Washington, D.C., Friday morning to pitch its youth entrepreneurship program to business and academic leaders.

Lemonade Day started in Houston in 2007 and has since expanded to cities across North America and South Africa.

The organization’s president, Steven Gordon, himself an entrepreneur since the age of 12 when he started a lawn-cutting service, says it’s important to teach kids the values of entrepreneurship early on.
