At the start of the year, AAA Texas Weekend Gas Watch reported the most expensive national gas prices since 2014, with an average of $2.24 per gallon in Texas.

While prices are expected to drop soon now that the holidays have passed, what can we expect for the future of gasoline prices? And given Houston's place as a prominent oil industry hub, how does the price of gas affect our local economy?

We talk with Daniel Armbruster from AAA Texas about their gasoline outlook and then with industry watcher Loren Steffy about the effect on Houston.
