From JJ Watt to Chris Paul — Local Sports Stars Go To Bat For Houston

With many local teams displaced by the storm, Houston sports stars are leading the way in fundraising for Harvey relief.

In a video from his Twitter account, Houston Texans star JJ Watt encourages donations for Hurricane Harvey relief.

The sports world has been responding to Houston's time of need with examples including JJ Watt's fundraising campaign far exceeding his original goal, to the St. Louis Cardinals’ Matt Carpenter donating $10,000 per homer with Adam Wainwright matching (they're both Texans), to owners of local sports franchises donating money themselves.
