Houston Matters

Full Show: The Impact Of Venezuelan Turmoil On Houston’s Oil And Gas Industry (Aug. 8, 2017)

If the U.S. imposes sanctions on the Venezuelan oil sector, how might it affect Houston’s energy industry? Houston Matters takes a closer look.

On July 31, the U.S. announced it was imposing sanctions on Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro, calling him a “dictator” after the election for a constitutional assembly. The U.S. hasn’t imposed sanctions on Venezuela’s oil industry — yet.
