After Another Failure to Reform Health Care, What’s Next?

Senator John McCain cast the decisive no vote on the McConnell bill the “Skinny Repeal” bill, making it another failed attempt for the GOP to reform the Health Care Bill, What’s Next?

 

The GOP’s latest effort to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act failed last night (7-27-2017). The Senate voted 51 to 29 against the legislation aimed at dismantling the ACA.

We talk with Allison Winnike, Research Director and Research Professor with the Health Law & Policy Institute at the UH Law Center, and Dr. David Branham, professor of political science at the University of Houston-Downtown about where the GOP could go from here with health care legislation, and examine the history of health care reform and how it’s impacted Houston.
