Houston City Council Asked To Vote On Possibly Joining The Litigation Against SB4

Following on the heels of Austin and others, Houston may become the next city to join the lawsuit against the sanctuary cities bill.


Mayor Sylvester Turner recently announced that he is ready to go to court over the Sanctuary Cities law.

So far Dallas, Austin, El Paso, and San Antonio have already announced they’re suing over the law. 

Today local activists along with Councilman Robert Gallegos asked City Council to vote in favor of joining the litigation against the Sanctuary Cities Bill, SB4. 

As time went on, the City Council chamber became packed with people that wanted to talk about Houston joining the lawsuit against SB4
