Anheuser-Busch Invests $9 Million In Its Houston Brewery

It comes as the company is losing customers to craft brewers.

Phil Weyer is the senior resident engineer at Anheuser-Busch’s Houston brewery. The beer-maker is investing $500 million for upgrades at its U.S. breweries this year.

Beer-maker Anheuser-Busch announced this week that it's spending $8.9 million for upgrades to its Houston brewery this year, part of a $500 million investment nationwide.

It comes as brands like Budweiser and Miller Lite continue to lose customers to craft brewers and especially Houston's craft beer market is expanding.

Phil Weyer is the senior resident engineer at the Anheuser-Busch brewery here in Houston.
