Tornado Damage In Southwest Houston

The Houston area is cleaning up after a line of strong storms moved into the area, spawning a tornado that damaged an apartment complex Wednesday morning.

In southwest Houston, there was damage to an apartment complex on Mullins Street near Bissonnet. A small tornado ripped down an awning and damaged several vehicles. Some of the apartments also sustained roof damage, forcing residents to put out buckets to collect the dripping water.

Storm damage wasn’t just contained to Houston. Photos on social media showed cars overturned in east Harris County. The strong winds also toppled shipping containers in La Porte.
