Backstage with Andrés is a series of conversations with Houston Symphony Music Director Andrés Orozco-Estrada, recorded behind-the-scenes at Jones Hall.

Maestro Orozco-Estrada chats with Catherine Lu about the Houston Symphony’s upcoming program, Beethoven’s Fidelio.  Featuring orchestra, chorus, soloists and Phylicia Rashad as guest narrator, Beethoven’s only opera will be presented in a semi-staged performance, bringing to life some of the composer’s most powerful music with themes of freedom, acceptance and tolerance.

The Houston Symphony presents this program, Beethoven’s Fidelio, on Friday, March 31, 8pm and Sunday, April 2, 2pm at Jones Hall.
