houston matters microphoneHouston Matters was pre-empted today (Monday, March 20, 2017), so that News 88.7 could bring you live coverage of the House Intelligence Committee hearing into possible Russian interference during the 2016 election.

We’ll have coverage of the Senate Judiciary committee questioning President Trump’s Supreme Court nominee tomorrow (Tuesday, March 21, 2017) throughout the day. Live coverage from NPR News begins tentatively at 8 a.m. CT on News 88.7 FM and online.

When there’s a break in the hearings, Houston Matters host Craig Cohen will be on the air with local political and judicial experts to offer their analysis and to consider how any developments in the hearings might affect Houston and Texas, and to field your reactions.

This will technically be day two of the three-day proceedings before the Senate Judiciary Committee, which began on Monday with some introductory remarks. This, however, is the key day, as senators question the nominee on a number of issues he might face, if confirmed as the next Associate Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court.
