City Council Passes Mayor Turner’s Pension Reform Plan

All members of the City Council voted in favor except for Mike Knox.

The Houston City Council passed on Wednesday a resolution of support for Mayor Sylvester Turner’s proposal to reform the City’s pensions systems.

All members of the City Council voted in favor of the proposal, except for Council Member Mike Knox, who categorized the vote as “political theater.”

Council member Michael Kubosh initially said he wanted to delay the vote but decided not to do it after all. Listen the reason why and what are the next steps:
