Two Metro police officers are suspended as the transit agency investigates an incident on a rail platform. In a statement, Metro Police Chief Vera Bumpers says they're investigating whether an officer identified as "J. Warren" used excessive force after approaching a man who appeared to be slumped over.
The incident happened Wednesday morning around 7:30 at Burnett Station on Houston's Northside. Metro says another officer at the scene, identified as "D. Reynoso," is also suspended pending the outcome of the investigation.

Statement from Metro Police Chief Vera Bumpers:
" We are investigating the use of force by Officer J. Warren after he approached a man who appeared to be slumped over a rail platform seat at Burnett Station. This happened Wednesday morning, Sept 14 around 7:30. I will not tolerate inappropriate use of force by officers. Officer Warren is suspended pending the results of a criminal investigation and an administrative review. A second officer, D. Reynoso, who was on the scene is also suspended pending our reviews."
