More greater-Houston area Olympians were welcomed home at Bush Intercontinental Airport as they made their way back home Wednesday from Rio.
Medalist Sara Robles — who moved to League City to train for Rio — took the bronze in the women’s ‘over 75-kilogram weightlifting competition.
American gymnast Chris Brooks of Houston also arrived at Bush Intercontinental Airport early Wednesday morning. He finished 14th in the individual men’s all-around competition.
Team USA gold medalist and Olympic standout Simone Biles is scheduled to arrive in Houston Wednesday afternoon. The 19-year-old resident of Spring earned four Olympic gold medals as well as a bronze medal in gymnastics.
Six other Team USA Olympians from the Houston area returned home Tuesday.
Sugar Land native Simone Manuel arrived last week from Rio after picking up two gold and two silver medals in swimming.
