
The International Competition for Entrepreneurs awards undergrad students for their business plan pitches.
This year, Texas Southern University was not only the first HBCU – historically black college or university – to be admitted to the competition, but it produced the winner.
For this week’s Bauer Business Focus, News 88.7’s Florian Martin spoke with Anthony Collier, whose five-student team won first place for coming up with marketing a cell phone chip called RadBlok that reduces potentially harmful radiation.
Collier says he is a community activist first, a businessman second.
