Company Offers Free Training To Prepare Unemployed Geoscientists For Better Times

More than 100,000 Texas oil jobs have been lost during the current downturn. That leaves many experienced geoscientists here in Houston out of a job.

To make sure they are ready once the industry recovers, one company has started an initiative to train oil and gas professionals for free.

For this week’s Bauer Business Focus, News 88.7’s Florian Martin spoke with Julianne Sharples, global brand manager for Ikon Science, about the technology company’s Geos Between Jobs initiative.
