The Montgomery County Judge and two members of Commissioners Court have been indicted on charges they violated the state's Open Meetings Act.
County Judge Craig Doyal, Precinct 2 Commissioner Charlie Riley, and Precinct 4 Commissioner Jim Clark have all been indicted on misdemeanor charges. They're accused of improperly exchanging emails concerning the county's $280 million road bond that voters passed in November.
The charge carries up to six months in jail and a fine of up to $500.
Houston attorney Christopher Downey was brought in as special prosecutor in the case.
