Representing Houston will be Congressmen Al and Gene Green, Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee, state Sen. Sylvia Garcia and Mayor Sylvester Turner.

The keynote speaker, delivering the final address Friday night, will be U.S. Housing and Urban Development Secretary Julio Castro.

A former mayor of San Antonio, Castro regularly features on lists of potential running mates for presidential presumptive Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton.

Between 8 a.m. Friday and 4 p.m. Saturday, the stadium is expected to host 10,000 delegates and their guests.
