A Farewell to Rienzi’s Founding Director

After 41 years at the MFAH, Katherine Howe is set to retire at the end of June.

Katherine Howe began her career as a curator of decorative arts at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston 41 years ago. For the past twenty years, she’s served as the Founding Director of Rienzi, the historic home donated by a Houston philanthropist in the late 1990s. Amy Bishop chats with Howe about her fondest memories and proudest accomplishments during her tenure at the museum through the decades.
