We talk with the Harris County Housing Authority about the challenges of gaining support from residents in communities where affordable housing is lacking and why affordable housing is needed in these areas.

And we hear from Chrishelle Palay. She's the Houston co-director the Texas Low Income Housing Information Service. She tells Maggie Martin getting community support for affordable housing projects is akin to other NIMBY (“not in my backyard”) issues.
