That's according to the new Houston Public Media/Hobby Center for Public Policy poll of likely GOP voters.

The research was conducted by University of Houston Political Science Professor Richard Murray and Hobby Center for Public Policy Research Associate Bob Stein.

The survey of 415 likely Republican voters was conducted on the eve of the Republican presidential debate at the Moores Opera Hose on the University of Houston campus on Thursday night.
