Experience and values have historically been two of the most important issues when voters select a candidate for president.
But in 2016, other factors are motivating voters.
That's according to the new Houston Public Media/Hobby Center for Public Policy poll of likely GOP voters.
The research was conducted by University of Houston Political Science Professor Richard Murray and Hobby Center for Public Policy Research Associate Bob Stein.
The survey of 415 likely Republican voters was conducted on the eve of the Republican presidential debate at the Moores Opera Hose on the University of Houston campus on Thursday night.
