After failing to issue any indictments Monday, a Waller County grand jury will meet again in January to consider charges in connection with the arrest and death of Sandra Bland.

She was booked into the Waller County Jail in July after being arrested during a traffic stop. Three days later, Bland was found hanging in her cell.

Prosecutor Darrell Jordan says the case isn't over yet.

"We are not finished, we are meeting again, and it is absolutely possible that someone may be indicted as it relates to the Sandra Bland case from start to finish," Jordan says.

Bland's death was ruled a suicide, but her family has challenged that finding. They've filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Waller County and state officials. The case is scheduled for a jury trial in 2017.
