Chris Newsome is RecruitMilitary’s director of strategy development and a U.S Army Airborne veteran. He offers the following advice for job candidates coming to the event.
“Dress to impress,” Newsome says. “So wear business attire, business casual — if you have a suit and tie, wear that. Regardless of what job you might be going for, you definitely want to, you know, look your best when you’re talking to your potential future employer. Bring a handful of résumés. You’re going to go through them. You’re going to give them out. You’re going to have a lot of opportunities to meet with some fantastic recruiters.”
The job fair kicks off at 11 a.m. and runs until 3 p.m. More than 400 veterans and military spouses are expected to attend. Advance registration is recommended, but not required.
