Plus: An interview about Larry Shueâs comedy, The Foreigner being staged now at The Alley Theatre. The play, written in the mid-80âs, is about two Englishmen who visit a rural resort in Georgia. One of the men pretends to be from a fictional, foreign country. To seal the ruse, he speaks a made-up language of gibberish and hilarity ensues. However, despite the comical premise, the play takes on some serious themes as Houston Public Media’s St. John Flynn explains.
