The Houston Rockets will make their first conference finals appearance since 1997, and fans throughout Greater Houston are showing their support.

Humble resident Randy Williams visited a sporting goods store to pick up a new Red Nation hat. He says he’s optimistic Houston will make it to the NBA Finals.

“I think we’re going all the way,” Williams says. “I’ve been saying we’re going to go all the way ever since they played this year. I just had a good feeling.”

After being down three games to the Clippers, the Rockets made a rare comeback to take the series.

Aldine resident Richard Ybarra says he was on the edge of his seat throughout most of game seven. He’s celebrating the big win by getting matching Rockets t-shirts for himself and his daughter.

“Well I was chewing on my nails hoping we win,” Ybarra says. “So hey, we did it. We’re ready for the next round.”

The Rockets are now set to take on the Golden State Warriors in the Western Conference Finals. Game one begins tomorrow at 8 p.m. in Oakland.
