Apartment-living is an attractive choice for many new Houstonians, as well as those who aren't yet ready to commit to buying a home in the area. If you can’t afford to buy a place, or don’t want the hassle of exterior upkeep, it can be the way to go. It can also bring its share of complications — from leases and rules to disputes with neighbors.

We talk about renter's rights with Rick McElvaney. He's an Associate Clinical Professor from the Center for Consumer Law at the University of Houston Law Center.
