Video: Automated Recycling Goes Citywide In Houston

City of Houston distributes new recycling carts to final 104,000 homes using traditional bins

The City of Houston began rolling out automated recycling, which utilizes a 96-gallon cart and a truck with an electronic arm, nearly five years ago.

However, as a result of funding issues, the program hasn’t been available to everyone in the city — until now.
