Fighting Sex Trafficking in Greater Houston

Human trafficking is a type of modern day slavery. It can take on many forms, including labor trafficking. But one of the most common and prevalent forms in the U.S. is sex trafficking of domestic victims.

Texas is a hub for human trafficking, and Houston in particular is a hub for all types of the practice. And for the last five years, local non-profit and advocacy group Children at Risk has been holding a human trafficking summit to discuss the latest efforts in combatting this issue.

In advance of this year’s summit – later this week – we discuss the fight against human trafficking in Greater Houston with several organizations involved in the issue – and we learn how online ads play a role in supply and demand.
