With Election Day 2014 just a little over two weeks away, a Houston Public Media/KHOU poll examines what Houstonians and Texans think about things like the Governor’s race, the Lt. Governor’s race, the Harris County District Attorney’s race, ballot measures, decriminalizing marijuana and even what should be done with the Astrodome.

On this edition of Houston Matters, Rice University’s Bob Stein joins us to break down public opinion on these issues and more. Plus we preview more in-depth coverage of the poll results later this week on News 88.7.

Then, as we do periodically, we bring in veterinarian Dr. Lori Teller of the Meyerland Animal Clinic to answer your questions about the health of your beloved dogs and cats.

And CultureMap Houston’s MK Bower previews the Texans’ Monday night matchup with the Pittsburgh Steelers and breaks down all the week’s sports news.
