Bragging Rights: The Dallas Houston RivalryThis week former Houston Rocket — and current Dallas Maverick — Chandler Parsons in a post-game interview following a preseason loss to the Rockets dissed Houston’s downtown, saying: “It’s cleaner (in Dallas). It’s a much, it’s just like a nicer, cleaner city than Houston. In downtown (Houston) there’s not much to do. It’s just businesses and it’s just kind of dirty.”

The comment is just the latest in the ongoing rivalry between Houston and Dallas, which is the subject of the book “Bragging Rights: The Dallas-Houston Rivalry.”

On this edition of Houston Matters, we discuss the Houston-Dallas rivalry (notice how we listed Houston first?) with two of the authors of the book and hear your take on the situation.

Then, we discuss The Good, The Bad and The Ugly of Houston news, including: over-reaction to the Ebola virus in Texas, banning synthetic marijuana — known as kush — in Houston, and a proposed memorial to some dead chickens.
