The Houston-Galveston Area Council is holding events to educate commuters about alternatives to driving alone.

A study shows around 80 percent of Houston commuters are driving by themselves. The Houston-Galveston Area Council (H-GAC) is encouraging drivers to try alternative methods of getting to and from work during their “August Commute Solutions Month.”

We talk with Houston Public Media transportation reporter Gail Delaughter about our commuting habits, and which highways are the most congested.
