Last week, Harris County Judge Ed Emmett called a meeting of stakeholders to discuss the current status of the Astrodome. Among the more recent developments – an application has been submitted seeking to designate the Dome as a "state antiquities landmark." The National Park Service has added the Astrodome to its National Register of Historic Places. Back in November, voters rejected a $217 million bond issue to turn the building into a giant convention and exhibition space.

And so, what was once known as the "Eighth Wonder of the World" is in limbo...again.
