Over a thousand Texas students are heading to Austin this weekend to show off their knowledge in a state-level history fair. It's part of Texas History Day, a yearlong education program that leads up to this weekend's event.

Students will present projects through papers, performances, documentaries and exhibits in hopes of moving on to the National History Day event in Washington, D.C. in June.
